HeartCode® ACLS Part 1-3

Details:  HeartCode® ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Students are presented with a team dynamics lesson, 10 ACLS hospital-based case scenarios, and an online written exam that they take at their convenience prior to their skills session.

In-Person Skills Session:  After completing the cognitive portion of the course, students practice and test their skills with an AHA Instructor (Parts 2 & 3) at a scheduled time. Upon successful completion of the cognitive and skills tests, students receive a course completion card.

Nonrefundable:  We will accommodate rescheduling for the in-person skills portion to an available time/date but cannot offer a refund for the course fees. Course fees are non-refundable for blended AHA courses.
 
CEU Credits: Up to 10 hour(s) of CME/CE/CEH credits are offered through the American Heart Association.

  • Supported Web Browsers: Latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari
  • Operating Systems and Computing Hardware: Win8+ with 4GB+ RAM, MacOS 10.13+ with 4GB+ RAM, Android 8+ with 2GB+ RAM, iOS 11+ with 2GB+ RAM
  • Internet Connection: Broadband – Fiber, wireless, DSL, cable modem
  • While the system will run in smaller screen sizes, these are the recommended minimum sizes for the best experience: 4" (mobile) or higher

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider Update (Renewal) Course

ACLS Provider Recertification Course is a traditional half-day in-person provider renewal course with lectures, videos, scenarios, skills, and a written exam. 

This ACLS advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition, and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

HeartCode is a Web-based, self-paced instructional program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning. After completing the cognitive portion of the course, students practice and test their skills with an American Heart Association Instructor. Upon successful completion of the cognitive and skills tests, students receive a course completion card from the American Heart Association.

HeartCode® PALS Part 1

Details:  HeartCode® PALS Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. Using eSimulation technology, students assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings where they can apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support.

Course Content

  • 12 pediatric, hospital-based patient cases with up to four healthcare providers, presented through eSimulation technology
  • A systematic approach to pediatric assessment
  • Recognition and management of respiratory and shock emergencies
  • Recognition and management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Immediate post-cardiac arrest care
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

Students will receive an AHA PALS course completion card, valid for two years, upon successful completion of all three parts.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support

PALS Provider Recertification Course is a traditional half-day in-person provider renewal course with lectures, videos, scenarios, skills, and a written exam. 

This classroom-based course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest.
